this is for some of you guys who know the later inline 6's better than me. im looking to put an early 232 in my '62 rambler inplace of the 196. (the 232 that has the same bolt pater pre '72 i think) i was wanting to know if the 2bbl intake off of one of my eagle 258's would fit on the early 232 head so i could put a small jetted 2100 carb on. i have done the 2150 conversion on both my eagles and LOVE IT!! would it work on the early 232??? im thinking it could be simple enough to do converting to a cable operated throttle system. (i prefer that over the old linkage style anyway) doing this, i can still keep my t96/od and t-tube and all without having to change EVERYTHING to get away from the spendy 196. i already have rebuilt the top end 3 times. new bearings in the bottom twice. spun ANOTHER crank bearing. im sick and tired of how expensive and hard to find parts are for the 196, and would rather go to the 232 that parts are easier to get. im i thinking crazy, or does it sound ligical and would it work? dave stohler www.picasaweb.google.com/das24rules -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
