The D in the VIN indicates this is a 290/4V car. X would be a 343 car.

This one should go for half the price, maybe $1000. Rare junk is still junk. The 66 with "Chevy" six (could just be a 232 and the guy doesn't know) is in much better condition and more fairly priced, even if it does indeed have a Chevy drivetrain.

How come that doesn't have an X in the VIN? Mine does and it is the same
model and it is a V8 4 speed too.
