The D in the VIN indicates this is a 290/4V car. X would be a 343 car. This one should go for half the price, maybe $1000. Rare junk is still junk. The 66 with "Chevy" six (could just be a 232 and the guy doesn't know) is in much better condition and more fairly priced, even if it does indeed have a Chevy drivetrain. ------------ Date: Mon, 12 Sep 2011 12:58:54 -0400 From: "Rocky Lear"<lear31@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> How come that doesn't have an X in the VIN? Mine does and it is the same model and it is a V8 4 speed too. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Marc Montoni"<Freedom@xxxxxxxx> To:<amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, September 12, 2011 9:24 AM Subject: [AMC-list] FOR SALE: V-8& 4-speed 67 Rogue in Raleigh NC
The price is a bit high for a wrecked and partially messed-with car that's been sitting since 1985, but wow what a rare beast: ********************************************************* http://raleigh.craigslist.org/cto/2594017909.html American Motors AMC Rambler Rogue - $1900 (Vass) Date: 2011-09-11, 10:59PM EDT Reply to:sale-u3nf4-2594017909@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx 1967 American Motors AMC Rambler Rogue Serial Number: A7KM97D100240
