The writer of the following link pages, really gets into detail and can be a bit boring. He does seem to cover just about the whole reasons and process of adding relays. Mine were noticeably brighter once done. I actually read some and now I can't remember if I upgraded the grounds? Have to check on that! http://www.rowand.net/Shop/Tech/AllAboutRelays.htm http://www.rowand.net/Shop/Tech/WiringHeadlightRelays.htm ----- Original Message ----- From: "C The" <kwtheaker@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, July 26, 2011 8:42:07 AM Subject: Re: [AMC-list] headlight not lit thanks for the input all, by popular demand the dimmer switch will be checked! then light switch, though that looks fun to get to. as backup plan 3b, mark you're gonna have to explain your note: change the hlamp outputs to engage relays. what does this involve? --carl ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Message: 1 Date: Mon, 25 Jul 2011 00:48:05 +0000 (UTC) From: markprice242 <wrambler242@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Rambler AMC, Nash, Jeep and family" <amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: [AMC-list] headlight not lit I'm going to say your hlamp switch is worn out, The breaker is in it. Unless this is a concourse resto I would change the hlamp outputs to engage relays. It takes the load off of the Hlamp switch. your headlights get the full 13-14+ volts and that existing switch only needs to trigger the relay.
