The service manual lists rear drums for the 77 Hornet (both six cylinder and
eight cylinder) as 10 inch diameter and 1.75 inch wide. I don't think any AMC
ever came from the factory with 3 inch deep brake drums. I have parted out a
couple of hornets and I'm pretty sure I have used drums that would fit your
car. If you need shoes, they should be easy to find. Heavier AMCs in 1977
(basically the Matadors) are listed with 10 inch by 2.5 inch drums.

Hi I cant find any parts house that has the right rear brakes for my 1977 Hornet
AMX. It has 10" dia drums and 3" wide pads. D oes anyone have any information on
what and where I can find these parts.
