Hi Jim,

When it comes to ignition upgrades, you have many choices.  If you want a great 
all inclusive system for street performance, the Proform HEI is a very sound 
system that increases spark charge and is simple to install and maintain.  I 
woulds stay away from the cheaper Chinese knockoffs you see on E-bay.  If you 
want more performance for track use, you can't beat an MSD set up.  As for 
wires, MSD, Mallory, Accel, with an 8mm or higher size will work great but be 
aware of the connection you get.  Both the HEI and the MSD distributors come 
with an HEI prong style cap and not the conventional plug in style like our 
stock units.

I would like to do a complete tune up on my '71 401 Javelin. But, this time 
using more modern parts.
I need help with what to use and where to buy the following:
?
1. A Pertronix type ignition system
2. Coil
3. Spark plus wires (I need black wires. Colored ones I just don't like)
4. Quality rotor and cap
