Good point Russ. Brakes are another thing that should be checked regularly.Another often overlooked item is that funny little rag joint in the steering column.

It reminds me of the winged Charger I saw featured in a magazine once. He made it a point to tell us that he spent months finding the original tires, proudly mounted on the original wheels with the original caps, etc. Me; I would not travel one mile on 40-odd year old tires, much less a car as heavy and fast as a Daytona. Those tires are for display only, and giving him $20 for it is generous. I would give $5, the tire would sit in my cruise-in corner and only see the light of day on those occasions. Tires should not be taken lightly, any tire more than 5 years old should be checked for safety.....Russ-------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...URL: <http://list.amc-list.com/pipermail/amc-list-amc-list.com/attachments/20110612/f5cf1e1a/attachment.htm>_______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxhttp://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
