Your PCV valve will have to be compatible with the engine too, not just the grommet. Smaller cfm flow rates for smaller engines. For instance, the 81 TSM (nearest to hand) says .5 to 2.5 cfm for the 258 depending on manifold vacuum and .69-2.21 cfm for the 4 cylinder.
