Sagging with age! :D you might also unbolt the rear x-member, bolt it to the rear cushion then attach the x-member to the chassis. Then you can use a drift through the x-member and tapped chassis holes to pry the mess forward. Easy to reach those! I had an inexplicable 1" discrepancy in my 63 classic when I stuffed the 232 in there. I ended up redrilling the front x-member holes the motor mounts dropped into.
