From: Steve Avery <stoverstevens@xxxxxxxxx> To: amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [AMC-list] What if and What Was AMC engine specs Message-ID: <AANLkTinWU4QTAW+=yn5D2ipv4mPSTwfugTt4-uFfNHb1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Does someone have, and are they willing to share, details on AMC experimental engines as well as the specs- specifically, engine bore center dimensions of the AMC sixes and V-8's? Was there ever a *factory *effort afoot for making a cross-flow head for the straight six or for the straight 4 2.5 liter? Does Larry Daum post in this forum? Thanks. Steve AverySteve, Etal ; I'm still here lurking in the back ground. I'm trying to get started on a new book project, so I've started to cut back on my on line time. What all are you interested in ? I do know of some items of interest. As far as a cross flow head for the AMC six I'm not aware of one. I did have an Iron Puke GM 4 in an 1981 Spirit I had and far as I'm concerned the GM cross flow four was a disaster. The only words I ever had for the GM cross flow four were of the 4 letter variety ! I'm not aware of every thing . I do know AMC experimented with a V-6 built off the 304/360 V-8 much like Chrysler did . I got that piece of info from Irv Hoerr , who was road racing an AMC Spirit in IMSA road racing at the time with some factory help,
in the late 70s and early 80's. LRDaum _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
