For the most part -- there are always exceptions -- we all like and imprint onto cars that were available, or cool, or whatever your particular preference/kink was, when we were "kids". We take that interest with us as we age, usually. My father liked really old Fords etc. I too thought they were cool, but never moved to own one. Did you? Why would 16 yr olds today be any different from us? It should be abundantly obvious that "kids today" will like what's cool and relevant during their own *now*, just as we did then. My father could not understand why I'd want something as complicated, fussy-looking, heavy, etc, as a 60's Rambler. Which, if you think about it, is fairly funny as the damned things from that era are so stone-simple. Unless you compare them to a Model A or something.
