Also had more money than everyone on this list combined will see in lifetimes, even if Shirley McLaine with 10 lifetimes. But never let go to head, just a uber rich car guy who you would see at Autoramas and sometimes smaller shows around Houston.
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metropolitan/6865370.htmlHe DID have a Nash Healey.....a 1913 & 1965 Rambler, the 65 was a Ambassador, and a Jeep or two, but go check out his collection, this was the "known list"
http://www.oldcarsweekly.com/article/john_oquinn_car_collection_liquidation/and he died speeding on Allen Parkway about 11 miles from me, it is curvy street running next to Buffalo Bayou where you can catch a delicious three headed catfish to cook over a hot, open tire under bridge there, quite filling, although glowing. But not a street to do 40-50mph on, even when dry, so 60mph in rain took him and his lawyer friend out when oak tree went thru Surburban on rainy Houston day. Too bad. Was nice guy. I do not know what happened to the car collection, but originally his dream was to open a old car museum to show off his collection here in Houston.
