There's one Whataburger in Columbia since as far back as I can remember, still in operation at the same location. Maybe 10 years ago they built a new building just behind the old, then tore the old one down. The photo is dated 1961, so it has to be a 61 American. 61-63 body style. The only way to tell between the years is to see the grille, which you can't in the photo. It could be a 62 model if the photo was in late 61, of course. ------------- Date: Thu, 10 Mar 2011 13:53:40 -0600 From: "Eddie Stakes"<eddiestakes@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> At the Whataburger on I-10 near Dairy Ashford, there is big poster sized framed photo of their iconic looking "W" building that many of the Whataburgers used in 1960s and some still do like place on Long Point or the one on Shoreline down in Corpus. In this photo taken in Odessa, Texas there is a little brand new Rambler getting a Whatafix of burgers. I believe it to be a 61 or 62, not up on my Rambler series: http://www.whataburger.com/ -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://www.amc-mag.com (free download available!) _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
