One problem with the old blocks involves using a Delco alternator on the old Motorola mount postion). The old Motorola was mounted low on the driver's site and a Delco was mounted high on the passenger side. Having just gone through this, I can tell you that the boss for the Delco alternator mount is not drilled on an older (1972 in my case) block. In fact there is no boss in the block casting for the highest bolt of the Delco mount. However, you can mount a Delco alternator low on the driver side where the Motorola was formerly mounted if you either modify the alterntor for the Motorola mount (or in my case, purchasea mount adapter to allow the use of a Delco alternator on the old Motorola mount). Assuming that the Delco alternator in that low postion will not interfere with the Pacer steering gear (and that is an assumption on my part) I think everything else should fit under the hood of a Pacer. A/C mounting, power steering mounting could of course confuse the issure further. So I hope I'm still safe in saying: like a hot dog in a bun. Some of the accessory mount points were changed in 1975 to a low profile style to allow mounting in the Pacer. It may be that you can use the brackets off the 1975 engine, but I think there were some new bosses on the 1975 block. Attachment points for the motor mount brackets to the block may also have changed. --Glen At 04:40 PM 3/9/2011, you wrote: >Yes. They'd fit like a hot dog in a bun.
