With almost 20% here in WA (thanks to the "winterized" fuel package added to the federal required minimum 10%) motors (especially small ones) are dying left and right, causing TONS of warranty issues for small shops. From: Jesse <j2sax@xxxxxxxxx> To: amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [AMC-list] Ethanol Issues Message-ID: <237455.84152.qm@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Dittos on problems previously mentioned. One of the worst issues with Ethanol, even at 10% is for vehicles not used very often there is a lot of water absorption. If the fuel is left undisturbed, water settles to the BOTTOM of the fluid mix and causes the issues you might expect from H2O presence. Small engine shops are LOVING this as chainsaws, blowers and other seasonal motor driven tools are getting gunked, rusted and eroded by this tendency and making them a lot of money! Motorcycles also suffer from this a lot... especially the carb'd engines. Jesse -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
