That's why I use plain old household contact cement. In grocery stores in small tubes (close to travel toothpaste size). If the directions say put glue on both surfaces, let dry xx minutes, then put the pieces together it's contact cement. Dries clear, stays on forever (well, mine is 8 years and counting). ---------- Date: Wed, 16 Feb 2011 10:35:46 -0600 From: "Daniel G. When doing the Javelin, I used a "regular" yellowish-colored 3M Weatherstrip Adhesive (also called "monkey snot/gorilla snot", I believe), and had to do careful cleanup to remove any excess, as it really stood out. I wised up and used the black flavor on my wife's Firebird; much nicer deal. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://www.amc-mag.com (free download available!) _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
