What did I do? I actually and really went to a club meeting in my Rambler!

My oldest son bought a windshield gasket, door seals, window fuzzies
and a trunk gasket. He installed the trunk gasket before we left.
We'll mess with doors next.

So - I played passenger. Kevin drove 42 miles each way (84 miles round
trip). We did 70-72 on 75, ran across 285 at 60-65, then up 85 at a
good 70 or so. Did the same on the way back. The car really did well
running at highway speeds for the 82 mile round trip. Took the on and
off ramps at much higher speeds than I use - but did just fine.

(yanno - going into fuddy duddy mode here - since the car did so well
on the highway at honest to goodness highway speeds, I might start
saving for disk brakes!  We had no problem at all keeping up with
traffic.)
