The car has a 195.6 engine. It has a rope seal. Joe Fulton As has been pointed out, it is a 2 part seal. (NOT an actual "rope" seal though) and should seep almost nothing when it is fresh and operating properly. Be sure and find a brass drift if you are going to do this as it will allow you to bump the seal upper half without damaging the crank... if you nick the crank even slightly where the sealsurface of the rear main rides you will NEVER be able to keep a seal from leaking... so DON't use a screwdriver or steel punch. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
