We go all over the place on Pie in the Sky awards. Sure, a person can give a higher value for his car, but if it has no basis in reality, it is pie. I could think my Rambler is cool and put a 10K price tag on it. However, Old Cars price guide and perhaps Hemmings would give a different value - and people that follow the hobby and have tried to sell a car similar to mine might have yet another value. So - my sedan: 10K - Pie in the Sky, no matter how I feel about it, or what value I give it 2.5 - 3K - closer to reality, but 3K might still be pretty pie-ish. Less than that - it might actually sell, not that I would sell it unless I really REALLY had to have a different project Or let's say we have a completely rusted through Javy. No motor, no trans, interior gutted. No race history, nothing special. Glass shot out. 20K would absolutely be Pie in the Sky as you can buy a good running, driving Javelin for far less. Heck you could probably buy a couple. I think Pie is like p*rn. You know it when you see it. Sure he can, and obviously does, but that doesn't mean that he shouldn't be dope slapped. > > -------------- next part -------------- > An HTML attachment was scrubbed... > URL: <http://list.amc-list.com/pipermail/amc-list-amc-list.com/attachments/20110207/5e3fb9ee/attachment.htm> > _______________________________________________ > AMC-list mailing list > AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com > _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
