The front fenders on the Ambo are a good bit longer than the Rebel. Ambos were stretched Classic/Rebel bodies. All the stretch is in front of the firewall. 65-68 were 4" longer, 69-74 were a whopping 8" longer. No more interior room, that was identical, but the longer wheelbase did improve ride a bit and gave the impression of a larger car on the cheap -- just a different front clip and "frame" rails. The floors will work as will anything from the firewall back. Sedans and three seat wagons/converts had different tanks, but the primary difference seems to be that the three seat wagon/convert tank was wider and shorter (front to rear). Sedans/two seat wagons had a 21.5 gallon tank, three seat/converts a 19 gallon tank. The two seat wagons used the same tank as the sedans, 67-78 models. The Mat Coupe had a unique tank. Note that this is from looking at the TSMs, not personal experience. The main difference over the years is in the venting and that the late 70s models have an inner expansion tank. The tanks themselves should still interchange, vent plumbing is just different. Don't think not having the expansion tank (or having it in a car where it isn't specified) will make much difference. Might have to change the vent system to that of the tank used. --------------- Date: Sat, 29 Jan 2011 23:05:36 -0800 (PST) From: Jesse<j2sax@xxxxxxxxx> Will these parts fit on a 67 Rebel Station Wagon?? I know the front end is different, a little longer... but I sure like the look better than the Rebel!??? I need front floor boards also and I believe these will work.?
