Ford used a T-86 in their late 60s cars with OD (the old BW OD). I don't know if the Ford trans had the same pattern or Ford made a special bell for the T-86/OD trans. According to Modern Driveline the Falcon didn't use a T-96. It used a small Ford three speed trans that is similar in size to the T-96. ------------- Date: Sat, 29 Jan 2011 13:32:58 -0800 From: tom jennings<tomj@xxxxxxx> On Sat, Jan 29, 2011 at 13:28, Jim Blair<carnuck@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:
Is the T14 pattern the same as the 3speed I had in my '66 Fairlane with 289?
That, indeed, is the question.
If so, Darkhorse Performance had an adapter/spacer to go between the trans and bell to put in a Mustang 4 cyl T5.
Is the AMC T-14 the same pattern as the Ferd? Is the AMC T-96 (early, late, you pick) the same as the one in early Falcons? Needs IRON to tell for sure; words won't solve it, this is an old thread, -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://www.amc-mag.com (free download available!) _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
