636-233-5413) still had a complete targa band from a 78 Corncob AMX.  He told me 
he'd sell it for $45 plus shipping.  Unfortunately he was going to derby the 
car, but he did make the AMX specific parts available before he did.

I have the two stainless side rails for the Targa band from a 77 Hornet AMX if 
that helps anyone.  Free plus shipping but I will charge for my time to pack
