was a busy weekend. im at my parents house taking care of all the animals, store/motel, ect. (they are all on vacation) i live 45 miles from my parents. up 2 pretty good passes, tight twisty canyon, long strait flat desert, you name it. i drove the new bumble bee (82 eagle sx4 sitting since '94 till 1 month ago) up here last monday when i came up so i could work on it all week while everyone is gone. only problem i had was i didnt get all the coolant bleed out good, so it was gettin a little warm at the bottom of the 2nd pass. so i filled it up before i started the climb. this weekend i got a new starter installed. new bright sylvania silver star headlights on it. got the water drained out of the motor and filled with antifreeze. (its starting to freeze hard and we got snow tonight) i worked on it all day today, and a little lastnight. cant even remember all i got done. before yesterday, i was driving it with an entire $420 invested into it. including buy price. i spent $400 on parts for it yesterday. starter, motor mounts, all new fluids for trans/tcase/diffs, flush out brake and clutch systems. i got new lights to swap with the original driving lights. they are in outstanding condition. i got some that look REAL similar so i can keep the originals nice. i cant find bulbs for those lights, but also got 100 watt bulbs for the new lights. out here, we got tons of wildlife on the roads that total cars. a 1500-1800 lb elk vs car, results are UGLY. 300 lb deer arent pretty either. lights are a BIG deal. anyway. i got lots done, and lots left to do. but its coming along great. might try to drive it the 20-45 miles to work tomorrow depending on where i got to go. dave stohler www.picasaweb.google.com/das24rules _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
