Okay, I know it's just plain wrong - but I kinda like the coffin-nosed Matty's. Especially the wagons. Adequate performance? My cars were a '71 Simca, a 68 Nova with 230 six, 2 speed powerglide and one barrel carb, 64 Karmann Ghia, Ranger pickup with 2.3 and a 5 speed, Mazda 323P (for Peon), Saturn SL1 and a Corolla. I know all about just barely adequate performance, lol. Had 30K on it when I got it, had 54K when I sold it. Really nice plush ride. Burnished Bronze Metallic with tan cloth. The 258 in the big car certainly wasn't going to win any races, but it was *adequate*. Mine had AC, PS, PDB and the dinky 1-barrel carburetor. I think I got 24MPG out of this car on a few occasions. > > Jeff Reeves > Auburn, GA > 01 Grand Cherokee Laredo > 72 Javelin SST > 68 AMX (x2) > AMO Technical Editor _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
