Joe, advance does the same crap. They still list AMC, but are missing large groups of crossover parts. What I do is cross the stuff over on Rock Auto, then go to Advance and blind them with brilliant ability to do such a thing (use a computer to crossover a part)... Anyway, the local Kragen's stores had maintained their own computer system and AMC was firmly listed as brand number 4 on the "search for manufacturer" readout. I could read over the shoulder of the clerk and quickly guide them to the parts family I was looking for. Things have changed. I went to my local "now O'Reilly's, formerly Kragen's" store this morning to pick up some carb cleaner and check on the availability of a repair kit form my Carter RBS on the Rambler. To my surprise a new O'Reilly's type computer system was in place and AMC was listed as AMC Eagle. Uh oh, The gal did find 65 Rambler American listed with a correct choice for the engine size, but no carb rebuild kit was listed. There was an 888 toll free number posted for her to call about unlisted parts. I told her not to bother. Now how much trouble would it have been to have kept the carb kit listed in the computer?
