Hi guys I recently redid the brakes on my sons 1983 Spirit 370 cid V8. All the stock parts were available from my local Auto Zone. We did some upgrades. We put a ford 8.8 rearend in the car with rear disc brakes. The slotted and drilled rotors for the front and rear rotors were bought from E-Bay. We used new stock calipers and master cylinder from auto zone . We also bought from E-Bay, the braided steel brake hoses and the variable presure regulator switch. I dont think this is the ultimate breaking system but it was a good value considering we needed a new rearend anyway, we had a Dana 15. Another sourse for possible ideas is, I knew Irve Hoerr, the AMC Spirit road racer and he said everybody racing Spirits changed their breaking systems because he said the stock system was to heavy . He used a Land Rover set up. Who knows what all the rest of the people racing Spirits mighy have had. Good luck guys. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
