Hey Rocky, If you want/need to keep it all original 343, then stay that way. If you're looking to build a killer engine, why not swap to the 70+ heads and a 360 crank/rods, if you're going to build it to the level of running a cross ram intake. You could always build it along the line of Rick Jones' 383 stroker, based off the 360 crank, Chevy 250 I-6 rods and Chevy 400 pistons. His engine made 406 HP & 427 ft/lb torque on a TIGHT budget ($600 more than a stock rebuild). It does have a 343 in it. Is there any way to determine if the engine is original without the VC tag? I have a STR11 but it's 70 and up, If I build this car, should I swap over to dogleg heads or try and go back the other way. You AMC Rambler experts tell me. I trust your feedback.
