Really? Advances kit has been on mine for years now. Sensor problem? That baffles me as it simply a manual trans Jeep CPS. Not saying they did not stop making it. Just curious as mine has performed flawlessly. You must match the starter to the flywheel/flex plate (4.0L starter needs 4.0L flywheel, 258 starter 258 flywheel). It's not hard to modify the old style bell to accept a CPS if you want to go with the computer. In that case you need the 4.0L flywheel. The other choice is $350 or so for a CPS relocation kit from HESCO. My understanding is that Advance Adapters has stopped selling a kit due to some sensor problems. ---------- From: d stohler<das24rules@xxxxxxxxx> To:amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx another question with the 4.0. would the flywheel off the 258 work on the 4.0? im thinking not. i probably got to get a 4.0 manual flywheel? will the clutch off the 258 work on a 4.0 flywheel if i got to change it? (im thinking i have a lot of work ahead of me) -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://www.amc-mag.com (free download available!) _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
