I didn't do a dam, but I did enclose the bottom of my truck with skidplates ('83 Cherokee full size) and gained almost 2 mpg highway. My '82 C20 with 454/TH400 averages 10 mpg with a dam on the highway. Stays around 8 with the 5th wheel on the back.

Speaking of fuel economy on the highway,
Has ANYONE ever made an air dam to attach to the bottom of the front bumper going down close to the ground,
and if so, did it help highway milage, as such a thing is SUPPOSED to do??
Just wondering,
Jeff Denison,
Charleston, SC
