I also forgot to add that the 727 used with the SD-33 in CJ-10a's was a big-block Dodge pattern mated to the SD-33 with an SAE4 adapter, so don't bother sourcing one of those for your AMC.

Yes, it was used behind the SD-33 (had one). It used a male 23-spline output shaft and was not mated to a Dana 20.

Lever shouldn't be hard (twin stick comes to mind) 727 was also used with AMC 258 in IH pickups. Possibly Nissan SD33 diesel too.

I would expect that to be from behind a 401 from an International Harvester truck. Jeep never used that combination or a 727 that used a bull gear. The concern would be lever placement on the tunnel in the cab.
