I've used Ford wheels by enlarging the center hole with a grinding wheel.
It's certainly a bad idea to force the small hole onto an AMC.

I wouldn't suggest Ford rims. Although they have the same bolt pattern, the
steel wheels (at least) have a different hub hole size. You can bolt them
on but
you can't get them off without a big hammer.
I just bought an 81 Concord with Ford wheels on it and spent quite a bit
of time
getting the wheels off. I eventually had to drill this one

to ease the tension enough to to knock it off. The 4 pound hammer wasn't
enough
- I used an axe.
