I'll soon have 4 (almost brand new 215/75R/14 IIRC) tires and rims from my '82 Spirit for sale (going Eagle rims all the way around once I change my axle and 30" tires) Jim Blair, Lynnwood, WA '87 Comanche, '83 Jeep J10, '84 Jeep J10 From: russ hathaway <russh97309@xxxxxxxxx> To: Rambler Nash Jeep and familyAMC <amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: [AMC-list] BIAS vs Radial tires on rims Message-ID: <292978.89843.qm@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Yeah, you would want to go wider on the rim width. I have the 6" on a set of 215s, but most of my cars I run the Chryco cop car wheels, and those are 15x7". Your Rebel is probably 5 or 5 1/2 like he said which is too narrow for 225s. If you can't find 6" AMC wheel in a 14, Fomoco and Chryco made a lot of those and they bolt right on. Chryco uses the same center hole and the back spacing is right. Be aware that they used a lot of different wheel variations so ask a Chryco vendor. You probably want a 4 1/2 inch back spacing....Russ _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
