Tom, Thanks, That makes sense, and I'm inclined to agree but it ran fine with the rotted out flex pipe and that is what baffles me, no pun intended...I could probably use a muffler bandage to close the hole that I drilled and see if it reduces the bog on accleration. Would it help in he short term if I unplugged the sensor coming off of the computer ? If it really was "running fine" before the innocent-seeming exhaust work, I'd revisit that. Catverter O2 sensors broken/missing? A good scanner should tell you that sort of detail. It may be that the hole you drilled to let exhaust out is really letting oxygen in, the sensor sees that, thinks it's from the cylinders, and turns the fuel knob accordingly. You can't mess with closed-loop computer cars like that, they mindlessly try to compensate!
