Re: [AMC-list] A small milestone

Congratulations on another resurrection! Those fiberglas headliners are
PITA when they go bad. When unprovoked they seem to last forever. Is that a
V8 car?

I'm the last person to scold you for illegal driving (we drove our uninsured
caged windowless sawed up painted race car 5, 6 miles looking for a practice
lot!) but CA also has a "one day permit" specifically for moving cars
around. We got one to haul the race car the 400 miles to Altamont that year
(tow dolly). I think with such a thing your insurance company covers you by
default in limited ways if the car is legally yours. I asked about this sort
of thing once, eg. when you buy a car from a person via an ad, how do you
get it home, etc. It might be worth a call to your agent. I usually round
off the story to not scare them (eg. don't say "race car" :-)
