You're fine Russ! What I mean by trimming is don't just hit "reply" in your mail program when answering a post IF YOU GET THE DIGEST (you get individual e-mails). If you get the digest (default, only sends 1-3 e-mails a day instead of however many replies are made -- all the replies are collected into one longer e-mail instead of many short ones) and just hit "reply" the entire digest is repeated. Those who get the digest need to look at their reply before sending then highlight and cut (delete) all the messages that they aren't replying to. I usually click on the underlined amc-list address, which opens a new mail message window to the amc-list, then highlight and copy the message I'm replying to and paste that in the new window. THEN I write my reply. I don't care HOW one does it, but don't repeat the entire digest. Then someone replies to a message with the entire digest and the whole thing is repeated TWICE in the same message, and so on. ------------ Date: Wed, 21 Jul 2010 22:59:53 -0700 (PDT) From: russ hathaway<russh97309@xxxxxxxxx> I'm sorry, maybe it's my personal dislike of this whole domputer thing and all the face time lost, not to mention swap meets and junkyard crawling, that I still don't catch on to what you mean by trimming the messages. Such as my message that I just wrote, what would I trim. I understand trimming meat, hair, wood, etc but all this internet transmission is just a neccessary headache in todays world and I block anything computer related......Russ -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://www.amc-mag.com (free download available!) _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
