For the Matador the rotors may be the same. Matadors used the big bearing spindles at least from 75-78, not sure about earlier. Easy to check the wheel bearing set at www.rockauto.com. The small cars used a different caliper starting in 77, with one rotor for 77-78 (small caliper, big bearings, 0.81" rotor) and another for 79-83 (small bearings). 75-76 models all used the big bearings and big calipers. 71-74 used Kelsey Hayes brakes, 75-81 Bendix (big and small), 82-83 Delco (similar to K-H). -------------------- Date: Fri, 02 Jul 2010 20:48:34 -0500 From: Todd Tomason<jayscore@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> I checked Rock Auto for brake rotors for the 78 Matador, and they listed the same rotors as fitting 74-78. Is that correct? I though 74-76 were different than 77-78. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://www.amc-mag.com (free download available!) _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
