I did buy the parts now. I have a couple of sets of big bearing Kelsey Hayes brakes from the junkyard and I bought a set of NOS rotors off of Ebay a couple of years ago. They're one the shelf, just asking: What car do you want us for, Joe? gloat gloat gloat LOL --- On Fri, 7/2/10, tom jennings <tomj@xxxxxxx> wrote: From: tom jennings <tomj@xxxxxxx> Subject: Re: [AMC-list] last day e-bay and disc brake info To: "AMC, Rambler, Nash, Jeep and family" <amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Friday, July 2, 2010, 9:53 AM On Fri, Jul 2, 2010 at 6:26 AM, <wrambler242@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Exactly why I said "BUY THE PARTS, NOW!". > I've done the check on parts thing and when they check the quantity available is ZERO. ...and don't claim success until you GET THEM. Seriously. PartsAmerica especially, bunch of liars basically. I've never successfully bought anything from them! It happened to me with two other "big" stores with online presence, can't remember who. I only found out they could not get them AFTER I paid! Then they tried to get me to buy other things, etc. Even AutoZone, generally pretty good, does the yes-no thing, probably because THEIR supplier(s) lie to them. RockAuto is flat-out the best online system, updates actual quantities, tells you what's backordered etc. NAPA kinda sucks online, unfortunately, but the stores are usually good to order from, and if you get a sensible counter guy, it's a great place. _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
