Exactly why I said "BUY THE PARTS, NOW!". I've done the check on parts thing and when they check the quantity available is ZERO. Someone mentioned that 79-83 rotors are readily available. I'd even check/buy those if planning on using them. While I got a pair of rotors when I needed them around 99-2000, it took so long to get the second one the manager gave me a discount on it and my next purchase. ------Original Message------ From: Sandwich Maker Sender: amc-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx To: amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx ReplyTo: AMC, Rambler, Nash, Jeep and family Subject: Re: [AMC-list] last day e-bay and disc brake info Sent: Jul 1, 2010 11:15 PM " From: Richard Estermyer <javelinman74@xxxxxxxxxxx> " " " " THANKS for the replies for the disc brake question. I did check out " AutoZone and found rotors are still available for 77-78 Gremlins for " $50, calipers are $16 and pads are still available. So still worth " saving a set or 2. a word to the wise - check to see if they actually can order them. folks have told of parts still on the price sheets which ring up 'unavailable' when they try to get them. why they don't purge the catalog in those cases is a mystery. ________________________________________________________________________ Andrew Hay the genius nature internet rambler is to see what all have seen adh@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and think what none thought _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless device from U.S. Cellular _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
