You missed the point somewhere. I've never had a club send me or another club an article to print. If I write or am submitted an article to print I'm going to use it in my own publication first. I did the writing and/or editing work, so I'm going to benefit from that work first. If it's something that will benefit one or more of the other clubs I'll share that information with them, all I ever ask is that the byline state that it came from AMC Magazine. I haven't had anything that I felt you could use in NAMDRA that you don't already have the resources for. I've had people at AMCRC and AMO send me e-mails asking questions and I've returned answers or articles that I've written in the past, and they've published them. If you're interested in running anything I've ever printed just ask -- you're 99% sure to get permission. I left that 1% out just in case, but I can't think of a thing off the top of my head that I wouldn't want another AMC publication to print. All I ask is that AMC Magazine be credited as the source and the url for the website be printed in the credits. I'm not another L.M.! I do run a hobby magazine and I'm not doing it for the money, but it's still run as a business that needs to pay it's own way. By the way, anything I've ever printed from another source gets credited the same as I ask. I'll repeat what I did from the start, I'm not in competition with the clubs, I supplement the clubs. I don't keep parts source lists or put on shows. I print all the club information I know of, including ads for the national events. I owe NAMDRA a display ad for their National since I printed one for the others already. ------------------ Date: Wed, 30 Jun 2010 22:22:22 -0500 From: Jock J JocewJ Jocewicz<namdra@xxxxxxxx> (and send the articles to the clubs after I've used them). Frank, Why say this? You just can't do everything and neither can the clubs. But to say to only to send articles to the clubs after I've used them is a bunch of b.s. You are not the only person that is in this AMC hobby and you have to learn to work with everyone, not just trying to be the BIG AMC GURU. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://www.amc-mag.com (free download available!) _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
