The main reason I asked is that the truck currently has HD shocks on it, but they are around 10 years old. It hasn't had a snow plow on it in five years, but that may have worn the shocks considerably... springs too. I have a 74 truck that had a big winch on the front but never anything as heavy as a snow plow. Although they are 10 years older the springs may be in better condition. I was just thinking that dual shocks should be better, but I'll try a new pair of shocks on the 74 springs first unless I decide to try the IFS or coil springs. This is the only front leaf spring vehicle I've ever had. ------------------ Date: Mon, 31 May 2010 00:21:04 +0000 (UTC) From:msproviero@xxxxxxxxxxx Agreed. All that is needed is some correct shocks for the springs you have. Dual shocks are for jumping dunes or parading around the mall. -Spro ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ken Ames"<ameskg@xxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, May 30, 2010 8:16:11 PM GMT -05:00 US/Canada Eastern "would dual shocks on the front significantly reduce the "bouncy" ride from the front leaf springs? " Maybe just new heavy-duty shocks. : ) Ken -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://www.amc-mag.com (free download available!) _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
