[AMC-list] wow, 401 isnt very good lookin

so, i traded a piece of junk snow plow blade i would never use, for a 401 that
wil need a lot of money i dont know if ill ever have for it. yup, it says 401
on the block. i got to go get #'s off, and measure the pilot to see what year
it is. it has dog leg heads. its a pile of rust, no front cover, no
flexplate/flywheel, looks like it has been sitting outside for 10-15 years.
great. time to pop heads and oil pan off, and look inside. who knows where to
find info on dates by the block #'s? i forgot where to look.
