I do agree with Tom. When doing that aluminum engine you need to be sure you do it 100% "by the book and "blueprinted". Don't cut a single corner or miss a single step. I would also 100% recommend doing tom's cooling mod! Anything and everything to be sure it is correct. I'd proly also use a 180 T-stat to try and keep temps down and from any extremes. I'd love to see you do it and promise you will notice the difference! I sure noticed when the aluminum engine came out of my 63 classic and the iron engine went in! ------Original Message------ From: das24rules@xxxxxxxxx Sender: amc-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx To: amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx ReplyTo: das24rules@xxxxxxxxx ReplyTo: AMC, Rambler, Nash,Jeep and family Subject: Re: [AMC-list] caspers rod is toast Sent: May 17, 2010 11:29 PM tom, the main reason why i wanted this aluminum motor, is because it is so odd and would be a real challenge. this aluminum motor would be going in casper tho. the 62 classic. it came out of my parts car 62 classic 4 door. casper is a 2 door. rosie is my 63 440H. rosie has a decent motor in it. totally unknown history on that one, but its got almost 6000 miles on it since nov when i got that motor in and going. im kinda leaning toward that aluminum motor for casper. i got another set of springs from my parts car, so im thinking if i put that aluminum motor in casper, i will cut a coil out of the other springs to put in. should look cool. dave stohler www.picasaweb.google.com/das24rules _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless device from U.S. Cellular _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
