Keith, No one else chimed in here so I'll give it a try. You'll need bearings for the pinion gear and for the differential carrier at a minimum. If I were doing it, I'd replace the axle bearings and seals along with the rest of the bearings and seals. You'll need a crush sleeve for the pinion. Get a TSM for your year AMX and read the axle section. Vendors on Ebay sell different kits for rebuilding AMC 20 axles. Check them out. There must be several sites on the web that give a blow by blow method of rebuilding an AMC 20 and swapping gears.
