afaik the knee assembly was unchanged '70-'83; springs varied with
model and spindles and caliper brackets changed over the years.

'78 should have the late small-bendix calipers but big-bearing
spindles.  i believe later small-bearing spindles would let you use
easier-to-find later rotors, and i wouldn't be surprised if some
earlier small-bearing spindles would work too.
