Matt On 4/1/2010 2:32 PM, George Graham spouted this sage advice:
The problem is that the leg on the thermostat end was too short on some brands of hoses, and the hose then would not clear the A/C belt. If you don't have A/C; you won't have any problems. If you do have A/C, be sure the hose is long enough on that end. I have personally had past issues with both Goodyear and Dayco hoses lately; but no issues with the big parts-house chain's house-brand hoses (wonder who makes those??).George GrahamAMC of Houston -----Original Message-----From: Todd Tomason [mailto:jayscore@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, April 01, 2010 9:41 AMTo: AMC/Rambler owners, drivers and fans. Subject: [AMC-list] Spirit Upper Radiator HostMy upper radiator hose sprung a leak on the way to work. I remember there was an issue with the replacement hoses not fitting correctly. Did anyone every find one that works? This is an 83 Spirit with a 258.Thanks, Todd _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
