The key to reliability (and safety, etc) is REDUNDANCY. I'm all for redneck engineering; I'm a Yankee, not exactly a redneck, but related. Yankee ingenuity and all that crap. But redundancy is the key to success. Track racers don't use it, but endurance racers do, as does aircraft, aerospace, and the Postal Service. Filling the tank with CO2 gas *probably* is enough, but consequences are extreme when it's not. The opposite of redundancy is typical 'old car' -- battery is old and weak, battery cables suck, the alternator is not putting out enough, the carb is out of tune, plugs and wires are old, and you crank it too much, and it won't start.... car goes to hell in a handbasket all in one shopping trip. Farmers and sensible rednecks should want to live to the next repair! At least that welder did have a CO2 extinguisher and the video guy (who stood waaay back!) there. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
