Gary, That's what happened to my 77 Pacer wagon I traded off many years ago. I had traded it to my airplane mechanic in partial payment for a top overhaul on a Lycoming engine. He was an ex-Nash dealership mechanic and enjoyed the Pacer for a couple of years then sold it. I later saw it for sale in the local newspaper. For sale ads for cars in the Orange County Register require the license number to be listed. I recognized the license number and called the seller and he said he had not put many engine miles on it but it had been towed behind his motorhome to many different locations.
