Is push-on hose barbs and worm clamps actually safe and reliable enough for an engine's main oil supply? For my full-flow hack I've been trying to work out crimp or flared tubing systems, assuming that barb and clamp is too hokey for something so critical, but all of the "oil filter relocation" kits on Summit and Jeg's use just that. There's "good enough" and "good" and I want "GOOD!". Assuming I use best quality and correct hose and parts, is there any reason not to use barb and clamp? I do tend to overengineer (with no regrets generally) but this job is a PITA to do with anything else. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
