Man, I love that car. The bubble gum machine on top, the old time kerosene lamps, thole whole nine yards. As far as out running the bad guys down, well...... The 83 Concord I am driving now I got up in Portland. I found all kinds of service papers and its history is as follows, to the best of my knowledge: Ordered from AMC bare except for heavy duty cooling, suspension and handling. Delivered to CHP in Sacramento. Its last day of use by CHP was in 1999 when it was delivered to the State motor pool in Redding. Eventually bought by the state of Oregon, it sat in the motor pool lot in Portland never in service as the miliage was t6he same when I bougt it as when it was delivered to Oregon. When I bought it it had a big ol' whip antenae on it, a floor mount for a radio (empty) and a trunk full of papers from Calif. The back seat is like new but the front seat springs are busted, though there are no tears in the seat. I suspect that a fat assed head of the CHP used it to "inspect the troops" since it is evident no one sat in the back seat and there are no signs of a screen or hand cuff anchors. I thought I was buying a parts car, I got it at auction for $25, but it has been a good car (once I pulled off the CPU and silly serpentine system). I'm still driving it and I actually get compliments on it...Russ _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
