If it indeed is an '85 distributor, it's a Motorcraft electronic ignition setup. If you find a '70ish Ford distributor with points (also Motorcraft and not Prestolite or Autolite) you can swap the internals to make the electronic into a points set up (I did that with the Ford 390 dist internals into the 400 electronic dist when I did the motor swap in my '69 F250 years ago) I have been having issues with Pertronix lately (likely due to the PO not wiring things exactly the way they were supposed to be) in the '68 IH Travelall of my friend Brian. Every time it idled, it would stall unless I disconnected the vacuum advance (I think the wires are messed up in the Pertronix harness, possibly due to stress) If it is a regular GM style with the window in the cap, then the GM Pertronix kit will work or there is another kit (Mallory Unilite I think?), that will take the place of points. I think even Accel has a pony in that show now. I have a 1970 Javelin SST that now has a 1969 AMX 390 and all AMX running gear. The distributor is from a god-knows-what AMC 360, I think from around 1985 or so. I have a slight miss at around 4000 rpm and I'm thinking it could be point bounce so I would like to install a Pertronix module to at least eliminate a point issue. My question is, do you sell or do you know what the part number of the correct module for this application. The distributor looks like a typical Chevrolet piece. Any info would be appreciated Thank You, John Bahringer bbahringer@xxxxxxxxxx _________________________________________________________________ Hotmail: Free, trusted and rich email service. http://clk.atdmt.com/GBL/go/201469228/direct/01/ _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
