don't forget some have a plug near the firewall that goes to the trans! From: Frank Swygert To: amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [AMC-list] Electrical Problem Message-ID: Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed Could be! Check a wiring diagram. The neutral safety switch connects two wires that pass power through the starter when in neutral and park. Any other gear and that wire connection is broken. You just need to find the two wires and jump them together... if that's the problem. The wires should be near the base of the steering column, where the neutral safety switch resided. ---------- Date: Mon, 22 Feb 2010 15:45:56 -0500 From: William 'Chip' Lamb > Someone suggested that the wiring harness may have come off a > vehicle with an automatic transmission and wired for a neutral > safety switch.
